LME to hold futures trading workshops

5 April 2007 – The London Metal Exchange (LME) is to hold free workshops for the plastics industry in connection with changes to futures trading of polypropylene and LLDPE from 25 June.

The workshops are designed to help plastics companies understand how hedging can help them better manage their polymer price risk, and therefore, better predict costs and profits, said the LME. There will also be the chance for participants to find out more about the new regional contracts and spot prices for PP and LLDPE (PRW.com 6 February).

Initial dates for the workshops include five in London (30 May, 26 June, 10 September, 3 October and 27 November). Other workshops will be held in Rotterdam (17 July), Madrid (12 June), Milan (13 September), Paris (6 June) and New York (10 July).
