4 April 2007 – Basell has widened its distribution agreements for polyethylene and polypropylene with Albis and Ultrapolymers into Central and East European markets as well as to Turkey. The new agreements also formalise existing arrangements for Basell’s advanced polyolefins materials and extend these to a number of central European countries.
“With the additional support we will be receiving from Albis and Ultrapolymers and their focus on selected customers, we will further optimise Basell’s channel to market strategy on a pan European basis,” says Anton de Vries, president of Polyolefins Europe and director of Basell Sales and Marketing Company.
Hamburg-based Albis Plastic, founded in 1961 and Ultrapolymers, which was set up in 2002, and is a subsidiary of the Ravago Group, are among Europe’s widest spread distribution companies.
