22 March 2007 – Injection moulding machine service, spare part and distribution specialist Windsor Kunststofftechnologie of Hanau, in Germany, has been sold by Taylor’s Worldwide to Francis & Associates. The new owner is an independent US financial investor based in Michigan.
Windsor says the sale means that it now truly independent of any OEM in the injection moulding equipment field, allowing it to provide service, replacement parts and sales for multiple brands ”without fear of conflict.”
The company says it will expand its role as a distributor in the German market in the next year, having shown its ability to grow beyond just the Windsor brand of machine through its strength in the supply of hydraulic components such as ATOS. The firm is also the world’s exclusive supplier of Siro pumps and motors.
Windsor plans to expand the US facility at Hebron, in Kentucky, which will receive additional staffing and investments to meet growth prospects identified by its management.
Taylor’s Worldwide is part of Taylor’s Industrial Services, the owner of Italian machine maker Sandretto, as well as of US injection moulding machine maker HPM.
