Jaycare moves into modern new facility

25 January 2007 – UK company Jaycare has moved its blow moulding operation into an 80,000 square feet factory near its headquarters building in Newcastle.

The manufacturer of rigid packaging for the pharmaceutical and healthcare markets underwent refinancing last year, saying it would lease a modern building to replace an older 25,000 square feet facility (PRW.com 7 June 2006). Jaycare needs more space to allow for more work it is taking on this year.

Chief executive Archie Fyfe said: “This investment has been made to keep pace with our customers’ increasing demand and requirement for modern specialised facilities, to meet the needs of the pharmaceutical industry.”

A new Bekum extrusion blow moulding machine has been installed and more are on order.

Jaycare’s injection moulding and cleanroom moulding operations are located in the separate headquarters building in Newcastle.
