Logistics firm places shares on London’s AIM

15 December 2006 – Netherlands-based Polymer Logistics, supplier of retail ready packaging, was successfully launched on London’s AIM market on Wednesday. The placing of nearly 21million shares raised approximately £15m for the company, much of it to be used on capital expenditure to implement contracts won with retailers Carrefour, Ortofin and, indirectly, Wal-Mart

Shareholders of the company include Zvi Yemini, founder and former chairman/ceo of ZAG, ceo Gideon Feiner and Shamrock Holdings. At the placing price of 82p a share, Polymer Logistics is capitalised at approximately £63.5m.

Polymer Logistics, which specialises in logistical systems for retailers and suppliers in the UK and other European countries, was founded in 1994 by former employees of plastics products maker ZAG (now part of Stanley Works Inc). Its RRP retail ready packaging is designed to be “display ready” from factory to point of sale, allowing retailers to avoid unpacking goods before placing them on the shelves.

In addition, the units are re-usable and environmentally friendly reducing waste from one way packaging from cardboard or wood.
