US Rohm and Haas to invest USD 19 million to build chemical plant in Mexico
US Rohm and Haas plans to invest approximately 19 million dollars to build a manufacturing facility in Querétaro, Mexico.
The plant will produce emulsion polymers and poly-acrylates, used in several markets including the construction, textiles, adhesives, sealants, industrial, household and personal care. The company's manufacturing operations in Apizaco, Tlaxcala will be transferred to the new factory.
The construction is scheduled to begin before year-end and will be commissioned in early 2008. Rohm and Haas is one of world's largest manufacturers of specialty chemicals, with annual sales revenue of approximately 8 billion dollars.
