New production capacity will become fully available in 2007

Plastics compounder and distributor J&A Plastics has revealed that it expects its turnover to increase in 2006 by 14% to euro 32m from euro 28m in 2005. Although lower than the 30% increase achieved in 2005 , it still outstrips the 10% average increase during the past five years.

Headquartered in Krefeld, near Dusseldorf in Germany, J&A Plastics says that the transfer and concentration of its recycling activity to its Belgian plant in Eupen has been concluded, where euro 7m will have been invested there by 2007 in order to increase efficiency and production capacity.

Against the 30% increase in capacity (13,000 tonnes/year) forecasted for 2007 a year ago, J&A now says that the increase will involve a 40% increase to 14,000 tonnes. Total compound capacity will then be around 40,000 tonnes/year when allowing for partnership with Repsol in Spain and Nycoa in the USA.
