Lanxess is renaming its Styrenic Resins business unit as Lustran Polymers in a move aimed at emphasising the focus on specialities and pre coloured grades. The new identity, which takes effect on 1 October will employ the theme “The Colourful Difference.”
Lustran Polymers will form part of the company’s ˆ1.75bn Engineering Plastics division and is a leading player in ABS polymers, with a strong emphasis on colour compounded types.
Lanxess set about restructuring its styrenics business as one of the first priorities on the split off from Bayer. Production is being focused on the unit at Tarragona in Spain and regionalisation of the business stressed.
Already, says Lanxess chairman Axel Heitmann, the programme is paying dividends and proceeding ahead of schedule.
