Multinational compound manufacturer PolyOne has responded to an increase in demand from southern Europe by investing in its Spanish production facility.
The US-headquartered wire and cable sector supplier has installed a new manufacturing line for ECCOH and LSFOH compounds at its Pamplona site.
PolyOne supplies colour and additive concentrates, polypropylene and LSFOH flame-retardant compounds and thermoplastic elastomer compounds.
The new line doubles the firm’s capacity to make ECCOH compounds and will reduce lead times.
“The new manufacturing line will allow PolyOne to serve southern Europe more efficiently,” said a spokesman for the firm. “With sales growing steadily in this area, PolyOne decided to take an important step to develop a production site, providing shorter lead times and better accessibility to technical service for local customers.”
