Quality Additives will maintain sales and conditions, customers told

Quality Additives of Athlone has acquired the manufacturing equipment, technology and customer list of Wigan-based Foscolor in a move aimed at giving it a position in the UK colour masterbatch market. The deal, completed last week, covers the solid masterbatch portion of the Foscolor business. The new owner is transferring the two Maris twin screw lines as well as some ancillary equipment to its plant in Ireland from where it will continue to supply material to UK customers.

Quality Additives is owned by Kevin Sheridan and Nigel Tyrell, who acquired the business from its former owner in Northern Ireland last year and moved it to the site on the outskirts of Athlone, regarded as the centre of Ireland’s plastic sector. Sheridan highlights the Foscolor universal masterbatch system within its portfolio. “It has been very well received and is a new technology for us,” he told PRW.com this morning.

The new owner says customers can continue to order the same product under the same conditions with immediate effect.
