Distrupol Ireland has been appointed as distributor for Innovene’s Rigidex high density polyethylene in the local market.
The Rigidex range, comprising materials based on the previous businesses of BP Chemicals and Solvay, is a market-leading portfolio. Distrupol’s Irish operation, based on the outskirts of Dublin, is already the exclusive distributor for Innovene’s polypropylene and its other polyethylenes.
In addition, Nova Innovene has appointed Distrupol in Ireland as distributor for its full range of polystyrene products, including its innovative specialities. Distrupol previously distributed polystyrenes from Innovene prior to its joint venture with Nova’s polystyrene interests.
Welcoming the agreement, John Wallace, who heads up Distrupol’s business in Ireland, said: “Distrupol are delighted that both Innovene and Nova Innovene have committed to working through Distrupol in the Irish market. We are also very pleased to be able to offer our customers here a broader portfolio of market leading products”.
