Kautex Maschinenbau has supplied its first Chinese-made blow moulding machine to Europe.
The Germany machinery supplier, which has made machines in China since 1994, has supplied a KCC 30 single station blow moulding machine to automotive parts supplier Cornaglia, which is located near Turin, Italy. Cornaglia will produce “technical articles” on the machine.
Typical automotive applications of the KCC 30 – which can make containers with capacities up to 30 litres – include small monolayer air ducts and containers for screen wash.
Kautex makes three other sizes of machine in China, covering containers of 10, 20 and 25 litres. All are available as single and double station models.
The machines made in China are smaller than the ones Kautex builds in Germany. The company is also keen to stress that the machines conform to European standards.
“These are German machines manufactured in China,” says Thomas Berghoefer, technical sales for machines and projects.
