The expansion of Bayer MaterialScience’s global network of polyurethane systems
The expansion of Bayer MaterialScience’s global network of polyurethane systems houses has reached Thailand.
A new company, located near Bangkok, will provide support to customers in Thailand, Vietnam, Indonesia and Malaysia when it starts operating at the beginning of 2007.
Named BaySystems ASEAN, the company will be part of the global BaySystems network. Earlier this month, BMS adopted the BaySystems tag as the umbrella brand for all companies in the network.
Last year, the company established BaySystems India in New Delhi . Engineering work is currently proceeding at the facility and pre-marketing activities have now started.
Elsewhere in Asia, BMS said annual production capacity has doubled at Bayer Jinling Polyurethane, a joint venture with Sinopec Jinling Petrochemical Corp. Its products are used in applications for the Chinese automotive and construction industries.
