Kautex sells fuel tank blow moulding systems to Russia

Kautex Machinenbau, the German supplier of fuel tank blow moulding systems, has begun to supply the Russian market. “We’ve just sold our first co-ex line into Russia,” said Andreas Lichtenauer, managing director. “The customer is a Russian manufacturer of steel fuel tanks who wants to move into plastics.”

The double-station, six-layer machine will be delivered at the end of the year. Lichtenauer says that, in addition to supplying the machine, Kautex has helped the unnamed customer to design the fuel tank.

“In addition, we have five or six other potential clients,” says Lichtenauer. “There is definitely a trend.” Lichtenauer was speaking during last month’s Interplastica show in Moscow.
