Swiss company will buy out its partner, Showa DenkoEms-Chemie is to take control of the Japan-based nylons manufacturing business that it owns with Showa Denko.
EC-Showa Denko, currently owned 70% by Ems, will be renamed Ems-Chemie (Japan) when the joint venture is dissolved at the end of this month. The joint venture was established in May 2000. The company will continue to produce speciality nylons. Showa Denko will concentrate on other business areas, including polypropylene and aluminium. Ems-Chemie (Japan) has 20 employees and a turnover of around ¥4bn (E30m). It will move its technical development centre from Kawasaki to Tokyo. Ems produces a number of nylons including nylon 6, nylon 66, nylon 12 and polyphenyamide (PPA). Source: PRW Previous news |
