The German group has linked up with Rapid Product ManufacturingAutomotive component supplier Mann and Hummel has entered into cooperation with Germany’s Rapid Product Manufacturing (RPM) to develop a polyamide casting process used for prototype manufacture and short production runs. The process allows polyamide to be cast in silicon moulds, which, according to the Mann and Hummel, enables rapid manufacture of high quality, close-to-production parts. The parts can be bonded and welded, and used between -40 and 180oC, the company said. RPM, specialists in prototype production and limited production runs, has polyamide casting development expertise. Mann and Hummel will contribute testing technology, know-how in jointing technology and its automotive industry expertise to the partnership. Source: PRW.com Previous news |
