The masterbatch maker has added a Shanghai facility to others in Guangzhou and Beijing

Clariant Masterbatches has opened its third production unit in China in a modern industrial centre 18 km from the centre of Shanghai.

The 13,000 square metre site includes 5,000 square metres of space for offices, production, research and related services. There is also “a leading edge” colour matching centre, said Clariant, the world’s largest masterbatch maker.

“Our goal is to be the preferred supplier for colour and additive masterbatches in the region,” said Juergen Heise, general manager of Clariant Masterbatches Division, Greater China Region.

The new unit, operating as Clariant Masterbatches (Shanghai), follows the earlier establishment of operations in Guangzhou and Beijing.
