MMTE says 20,000 Fanuc Roboshot machines have been installed worldwide

Mitsui Machine & Tool Europe (MMTE) has claimed that all-electric injection moulding machines now account for 80% of all types of injection moulding machines produced in Japan, and 90% of moulding machines with up to 200 tonnes clamping force. MMTE, which distributes Fanuc’s all-electric moulding machines in Europe, also said that 20,000 Fanuc all-electric machines have been installed worldwide since the company first introduced them to the market in 1984. Most of Fanuc’s Roboshot machines (42%) have been installed in Japan, followed by Asia at 29% and Europe at 13%. Europe accounts for 2,600 machines, up by 710 machines since October 2003, and is just behind the USA, which is at 16%.
