Norway’s Batek will be integrated into the Building Systems division

Trelleborg Building Systems is to acquire Norwegian pipe seal manufacturer Batek for an undisclosed sum.

Batek is located in Spydeberg, south of Oslo, and specialises in the aftermarket for pipe seals and has annual sales of approximately SEK10m (E1.1m).

“The acquisition complements Trelleborg Building Systems operations in its pipe seals segment and provides access to the expanding aftermarket in the Nordic region,” Trelleborg said.

Trelleborg Building Systems makes polymer-based building products for sealing and waterproofing applications. It has sales of around SEK2.3m and 1,400 employees with production units in Sweden, Denmark, Finland, Poland, Germany, Spain and the UK.
