Price increase for flame retardants

LANXESS Deutschland GmbH increased its prices worldwide for flame retardants by up to ten percent. According to Kurt Balzer, Head of the Functional Chemicals Business Unit, the reason for this measure is the stark rise in raw material and energy costs.

The company’s extensive flame retardant range includes the halogen-free Disflamoll® phosphoric esters for all types of polymers, the Levagard® flame retardants for use in polyurethane rigid foams and thermosets and the two-component Bayfomox® raw material system for preventive fire protection. Fields of application are materials for the construction, electrical and automotive industries.
