New TPE Series with Outstanding Adhesion to EPDM by KRAIBURG TPE at Fakuma

KRAIBURG TPE will use the upcoming 25th Fakuma to exhibit its customer-oriented core competences. At Booth 5303 in Hall B5 the company will also present innovative material developments, including a new TPE series with outstanding adhesion to EPDM.

New TPE Technologies

In addition to market-specific compounds, advanced development processes at KRAIBURG TPE have produced new TPE technologies. As the latest innovation of this type the company will present a new TPE material with outstanding adhesion to EPDM at Fakuma.

Benefits of New Compound

The new compounds of the THERMOLAST K product group offer:

  • Excellent adhesion to EPDM
  • High resistance to UV radiation
  • Weather influences
  • Good flow properties
  • The new material series is ideal for automotive exterior applications.
  • Pilot projects include window seals consisting of EPDM profiles with molded TPE corner joints.

TPE for Consumer Electronics

Another new development that already attracted attention at this years CHINAPLAS is a new type of Thermoplastic Elastomer for use in consumer electronics. For this field of application KRAIBURG TPE developed Thermoplastic Elastomers with:

  • Soft velvety surfaces
  • Superior adhesion to polar thermoplastics
  • Outstanding mechanical properties
